Lilongwe to host Intercity soccer Bonanza August 8-9: Nomads missed out

Soccer fans from the capital city awaits a great soccer weekend between 8 and 9th August 2015 following the announcement that there will be a bonanza involving four TNM Super League sides.

The four teams include reigning TNM and Carlsberg Cup champions Big Bullets, Civo United, their rivals Silver Strikers and Blue Eagles.

According to one of the officials from the organizing team Frank Katundulu, all is set for the competition and that the prize money has already been deposited into Football Association of Malawi (FAM) account to avoid problems at the end of the tournament.

Katundulu said the winning team will walk away with K2 Million, the second placed will pocket K750,000.00, third place K500,000.00 while fourth placed will receive K250,000.00.

“The money is already deposited in FAM account to avoid inconviniences at the end and both participating teams have agreed to the terms,” said Katundulu.

Surprisingly one of the local giants Mighty Beforward Wanderers are missing on the list of participating clubs

  20. I know that the Nomads are a bit worried that they are left out, but don’t worry by the dates of the tournament the organisers will have changed their mind and Nyerere will be roped in. Why not, don’t they also claim to be giants? More fire BB!!!!!!!!
