Look to God , man will always disappoint

Dependent on man will always bring disappointment in the lives of God’s children. When man starts depending on other things or people instead of God, they start worshiping what they are depending on instead of God. “…You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you save” (Luke 4:8).jesus bible

The Bible talks about a certain man who had an infirmity for thirty and eighty years; in the pool of Bethsaida (John 5:1-8)  where there was a great multitude of impotent  folks, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. This presents the situation that God’s Children are in right now.  When Jesus saw him lie, He knew that he had been in that situation for a long time. This confirms to us that whatever we are going through, God knows and it grieves Him to see His children suffer, and that is why when He saw this man He had great compassion.

However, though Jesus had great compassion and desired to heal the man immediately and said to him, will you be made whole, The man responded by narrating to Jesus how he hasn’t had anybody to put him into the pool when the water is troubled.

All this was because he was looking for another man to deliver him that when the deliverer was talking to him, he was not able to recognize Him as he was still looking for help from man.

Many are in the same situation right now, and that is the only reason they are still in bondage. The enemy is using this to keep God’s children in bondage as most of the people are busy following preachers instead of following the one who died on the Cross to complete God’s redemption plan.

Look to God alone for you shall not be ashamed or disappointed but rather will receive what He has promised to those that are able to hear His voice (Romans 10:11). Our God is a God of compassion; even though we fail Him many times He still loves us as His own children. In the same way though, He was able to see that the man believed in man to deliver him but Jesus had compassion and told him to rise, and take up his bed and walk. This was a single word from Christ that did not require anybody to help him as the man thought.

Those same words are going to many of God’s children right now, to rise up and walk as you have stayed in that situation for too long. It is not that pastor that you are trusting on or the money and riches that you give to church that will change the situation, but looking at the one who died for you on the cross of Calvary. Stop looking at that man, or anything else but look to Him and He doesn’t need any help from anyone. “Let your help come from the Lord, who made Heaven and Earth” (Psalm 121:2).
