Lord heal our land
Our nation needs a complete healing that can come only through Jesus Christ. If you can take some minutes and just think of many things that are happening, you will realize that we have now reached a point where those that truly believe in God need to stand together in unity and seek the face of God to heal our land. “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (11 Chronicles 7:14).
The bible tells us to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, soul, and with all our mind and strength, then we will also be able to love our neighbors just as we love ourselves, and there is no any other commandment greater than these. If you love your neighbor, you cannot steal, kill, hate, practice homosexuality, be bias, be a racists or practice tribalism.
When you look at the life of the children of Israelites, many times after they had gone in deep sin, God could use a famine to bring them back to Himself. “For whom the Lord loves, He corrects” (Proverbs 3:12).
What God requires from us during this time is to humbly seek Him and repent our sins and He promises to heal us. Many times in the Old Testament, we see prophets who prayed and repented on behalf of nations. Daniel repented on behalf of the entire nation with fasting and sackcloth and god responded to His prayer. Esther requested the Jews to join her in fasting and praying for three days and nights, and the king granted her request.
I believe that if all believers can come together and pray in unity, God will do something new for us and our nation. Things may seem impossible with our physical eye, but with God all things are possible. “And shall not god avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him” (Luke 18:7). Even though the situation may look bad, we must never give up, God is in control and He has promised to never forsake us.
“Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain” (Psalms 127:1). The house built by the Lord will be strong and will not be moved by anything, any evil plan will not be able to move it, for this is a solid house built with a solid foundation, which is the Lord Jesus Christ. It is also the Lord that watches over His children. The watchmen may slumber, but our Lord doesn’t. This all means that no matter what efforts we will put building our nation, if God is not the foundation, we will labor in vain. Let God guide us in everything that we do, even when choosing leaders, seek the face of God for He is the only one that can give us a leader who is going to transform and lead the nation with the fear of God. The Lord will not heal your land. You had rejected God’s choice of JB as your president. You thought you were wiser than God when, in your polling booth, you took the destiny of your land into your own hands by rejecting to vote for the God-given Dr Joice Banda. Sorry. Very sorry. Your land is cursed by your own deeds.
