Lulu to perform in Scotland at Malawi independence gala dinner dance 8 July
The renowned Malawian music urban musician, Lawrence Khwisa, but popularly known as Lulu, will headline a great line up of music and entertainment at the 2017 gala dinner dance in Glasgow, Scotland on July 8.
The event has been organised by Association of Malawians (AMS) in Scotland in partnership with Scotland-Malawi partnership.
According to AMS events director Norah Carol McLintok, the Dinner Dance will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow (Congress Road, G3 8QT )as part of Malawi Independence Celebrations.
She said it is going to be ” fabulous” event with three Course Dinner, a line up of entertainment and of course music by Lulu from Malawi and other artists.
The organisers who include Mr Yonah Matemba (Chairperson), Alphas Ngonga (Secretary), Enoch Bamusi (Treasurer), Tankhu Tembo and Chimwemwe Gondwe(welfare) and Vincent Mzembe ICT officer have also said they will conduct a raffle draw to raise funds That will go towards assisting mothers with children at Chichiri and Chikwawa Prisons in Malawi.
Tickets go on sale soon at £45 adults and £20 children and can be purchased online at www.eventvrite.co.uk and no tickets will be sold on the door.
