The partnership is meant to increase the number of students that were already being supported by the Fredokiss Scholarship established a few years ago.

In an interview on Friday, Fredokiss – real name is Penjani Kalua- said Lup Tech Malawi has offered to support 10 students identified under the Fredokiss Scholarship from November 6 2017.

“Programmes that will be offered are; Hardware and Software Repairing Lessons for computers and phones, Information and Communication Technology Training, Networking Fundamentals and Graphic Designing,” he said.

According to Fredokiss, applicants will be required to email a two page motivation letter explaining why they should be selected, what they plan to do with the skills they will attain should they be selected and a copy of their Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) to [email protected].

Lup Tech Malawi Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chiphetsa Wirima said he had been following what Fredokiss is doing for the youth and that the Fredokiss Scholarship caught his attention.

“This year’s training will commence on November 6 up to December 15 and that is the date we will enrol the 10 students from Fredokiss Scholarship.  We are sure to offer 10 spaces every time we are opening for training sessions,” Wirima said.

The Fredokiss Scholarship has supported about 20 needy students with their secondary education and the coming in of Lup Tech Malawi will see other learners being assisted with their tertiary education.
