‘Ma Blacks’ in Balaka show ahead of Tamanya Waka’s home coming concert

The famous Chileka based reggae group Black Missionaries is this Friday 22nd February expected to perform at Modern Park in Balaka before proceeding to New Village House to raise hype ahead of Easter Holiday’s major reggae concerts in Blantyre and Lilongwe.

He also added that: “Malawians get ready for our Ivory Coast based international reggae artist Tamanya-Waka as we have only few days to go”.

The Easter concert is dubbed ‘Tamanya-Waka’s Home Coming Concert’.

The first show will be at the Motel Paradise in Blantyre on 1st March before heading to M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe on 3rd March, a day Malawians remember fallen heroes who fought for freedom in the country.

Tamanya-Waka is a Malawian born international female reggae artist based in Tunisia and Ivory Coast.

She works with an Austrian Record Label Called “House Of Riddim” which also works with some of the top international Reggae Artists like Morgan Heritage, Anthony B, Fantan Mojah, Lutan Faya among others.

Tamanya-Waka also previously worked with other International Record Labels including Penthouse Records, Notis Records (Jamaica), Bizzarri Records (Italy) just to mention a few, who have produced some of her songs.

The artist has three albums to her credit, two being in the native language of Chichewa and the other one in English.

She once represented Malawi at the 1st Africa Unite Reggae Sunsplash Festival in Cape Town South Africa, she also perfomed at The Lake of Stars festival 2016.
