Maduka was appointed on Monday alongside Lehlololo Seema is caretaker co-coaches replacing sacked Serame Letsoaka after losing to Bidvest Wits on Sunday.

“The players’ spirit was nearly dented by our loss against Bidvest Wits at home but during training they seem rejuvenated and ready to win,” Maduka told the club website.

“However putting pressure on them will be suicidal hence we have been making sure we focus on strategically planning for our opponents and somehow dealing with players’ mental preparedness.”

The former Umtata Bush Bucks and Celtic captain, who has remained a club legend back home at Silver Strikers with his goal scoring prowess looks up to his first task on Wednesday against Cape Town City with confidence.

“Fortunately we already know each other and with the right tactical plans and correct mental attitude from our players we will triumph. It won’t be easy I must concede but winning is our priority.”

Celtic are 12th position in the 16 team league just one above relegation.
