Malata dares to expose Kabambe’s treacherous plan
Fresh from Maula prison Billy Malata, fired Democratic Progressive Party DPP member, has dared former Reserve Bank governor Dalitso Kabambe to meet in court over defamation claims.
In an audio clip sourced by Nyasatimes Malata is heard saying he is ready to expose treacherous plans of Kabambe in court.
This comes after the former reserve bank governor and aspiring DPP presidential candidate threatened to drag Malata to court for allegedly claiming that Kabambe has been clandestinely sponsoring anti-Muthairka presidential comeback bid.
“I will strip him politically naked in court, just imagine, I have been arrested and thrown into jail and failed to source a lawyer. Do you think I could have money to hire lawyer Wapona Kita to stop the Mutharika camp from implementing the Mangochi NGC meeting resolutions?”questioned Malata in the audio in which he is speaking to unidentified female journalist.
He claimed that there are people in the DPP that are cowardly fighting Mutharika 2025 presidential bid unlike the fired party’s presidential advisor Kondwani Nakhumwa who declared openly to face anyone, anywhere at a convention.
Commenting on his arrest that came due to a defamation claim by Alfred Gangata, the outspoken Malata described the whole matter as an abduction.
“I really feel this was a well-planned abduction where police abated my suffering but it has been a worthwhile experience to be at Maula prison. I have first-hand experience of life within the four walls of a prison cell. I have also gotten a message from prisoners to Dr. Kabambe, Tadikila Mutharika, Uladi Mussa and Henry Mussa. They sending greetings and reminding the former inhibitors of the prison that life is still the same in prison.” Malata is heard in the audio.
Fredrick Billy Malata has been issuing several videos and audios on social media, attacking the leadership of DPP. In his latest post, he insinuated that Dr. Dalitso Kambambe is sponsoring anti-Mutharika presidential bid.
He was arrested on 13 January this year for allegedly publishing a defamatory statement against Alfred Gangata.
Dr. Kabambe expressed interest to contest for DPP presidential position but has been aloof since Mutharika openly declared that he is standing a president at a DPP convention and subsequently be a presidential candidate in 2025 tripartite elections.
Kabambe is yet to comment if he will continue with his intentions of taking Malata to court.
