Malata not for sale, Silver informs Bullets
Silver Strikers Football Club has told Nyasa Big Bullets to forget buying their captain Lucky Malata.
This follows a letter Bullets wrote to Silver Strikers Executive Committee through their General Secretary Kelvin Moyo asking the Central Bankers to disclose an amount to sign Malata.
But in reaction to the development, Silver Strilers General Secretary Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda openly said the player in not for sale.
“The player is not for sale. We can’t sell our inform players to local clubs,” said Chakaka Nyirenda.
Bullets had also shown interest to sign Silver’s man of the moment Thuso Paipi who according to his impressive form has earned his first ever national team call up.
Meanwhile, Malata has disclosed that he is happy at Silver.
“I am really enoying my career at Silver and I am not thinking of leaving the club for a local club,” said Malata.
The transfer window that was opened on 15th August is expected to be closed by mid-night on Tuesday 30th August and according to Super League of Malawi (Sulom) General Secretary Williams Banda, no concrete transfer had been made as we went online.
But he reveales most clubs have been targetting players from lower league sides.
