Malawi, AfDB sign agreements worth K37bn

Malawi Government and the African Development Bank (AfDB) yesterday July 31, 2014 signed three agreements worth K37 billion, Ministry of Finance has disclosed.

According to communication from the Ministry dated July 29, 2014, the funds are meant for a number of projects which include, the Nacala Road Corridor Phase 4 project worth 42.36 million UA, (approximately K26.4 billion) and a grant agreement for 610 000 UA ( approximately K379 million), Sustainable Rural Water and Sanitation Infrastructure for Improved Health and Livelihoods Project amounting to 15 million UA (approximately K9.4 billion) and the Lower Shire Water Development Feasibility Study of euro 1.793 million (approximately K993 million).
