Malawi army strikers dominate golden boot award chase: TNM Super League

As the 2014/15 TNM Super League first round concludes this weekend, Malawi Defense Force strikers are still dominating the chase for golden the boot award.

First round concludes with games involving league leaders Big Bullets against Blue Eagles at Nankhaka at Kamuzu stadium, Mafco versus Mighty Wanderers on Saturday.

Defending champions are traveling to the north to play against Moyale Barracks and Karonga United on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Meanwhile, Moyale’s Dues Nkutu and Red Lions’s Kumbukani Mwambene are now joint top goal scorers with 10 goals each.
Moyale’s Gastin Sinkonda, Mafco’s Callisto Kalinda and Kamuzu Barracks’ Kelvin Hanganda are trailing with 7 goals each.

With six goals are Schumacher Kuwali of Blue Eagles, Leonard Mgemezulu of military side, Airborne Rangers and Jafali Chande of EPAC, while Micium Mhone and Charles Ngosi (both Blue Eagles) have five goals each.

About 245 goals have been scored this far. Blue Eagles is the highest scoring with 26 goals, whereas Chikwawa United are the most conceding team after letting in 27 goals.
