Malawi awards UK show back after a two-year hiatus
Malawi Achievers Awards UK show is back after a two-year abscence and is set to take place at De Vere Orchard Hotel in Nottingham on September 14 2019.
Organisers said a detaied program will be released for the fifth edition of the red carpet affair – for Malawians in UK.
Malawi Achievers Awards UK whose aim is to celebrate and recognise outstanding Malawian individuals and groups in the UK for their exceptional achievements and contributions to their respective communities both in the UK and in Malawi.
The founders of the event include Martin Guga, Felix Banda, Stepheson Mbewe, Thom Chiumia, Peter Makossah, Hannah Chasowa, Peter Guga and Getrude Banda.
The project was afflicated to Malawi Association UK (MAUK) an umbrella body for all Malawians in the UK to be running it.
Since the change of guard at MAUK, the interim leadership led by Hanning Gondwe has opened it to the public to take part to the organising this year’s event.
Those promoting and part of this year’s organising include Kondi Bowokeye Munthali, Phyllis, Saidi Phiri, Connex Banda promises the event to be “ unforgettable experience “.
Tickets of the event are now on sale.
Organisers are encouraging those who want to book discounted rooms at the venue’s hotel to quote MAUK when they are making their reservations.
