Malawi ban administering lymphatic drug: Elimates disease
Malawi government has announced that it has stopped mass drug administration for Lymphatic Filariasis following a recent survey by the World Health Organization (WHO) that the country has managed to eliminate the disease.

Minister of Health Jean Kalirani told Journalists in the capital Lilongwe that after so many years of administering the drug, the country has now achieved its goal of eliminating the disease.
“It is a success story for Malawi. As a country, we are aiming to eliminate other diseases so that Malawians live a health life,” she said.
Other diseases to be eliminated within a year or two include Onchocerciasis and Schistosomiasis.
As we r celebrating this achievement ,we shouldn’t forget workers behind the distribution exercise that they deed a commendable job in the communities .Big up for all HSA’s in Malawi !!!!!!!
