Malawi coach Mtawali officially gets a car from FAM
Barely a month after promising to give Flames’ head coach Ernest Mtawali a vehicle as per the contractual agreement reached between the coach and Football Association of Malawi (Fam), the local FA has finally honoured the agreement by allocating Mtawali a new vehicle.
The car, a Nissan X-trail from Japan valued at K5.5 million was officially handed over to the Flames’ mentor yesterday by Fam chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda.
Nyirenda confirmed handing over the vehicle to Mtawali in an interview with Nyasa Times.
“Yes, we gave him the vehicle yesterday and as I talk to you, he is now driving. The transport problems that he has been facing when discharging his duties will now be a thing of the past,” said Nyirenda.
Efforts to get a reaction from the coach proved futile as his line kept calling- probably he was driving his ‘brand new second hand vehicle.’
Recently, one of the daily papers carried a story to the affect that Mtawali and his assistant Nsazurwino Ramadhan were failing to properly discharge their duties due to the absence of a vehicle.
Fam promised to look into the issue and the coach will now be driving the same type of car that is used by Fam technical director John Kaputa.

at least but if it was a foreign coach may be the car could have been Toyota for tuner ,badly enest is not yet there. And we haven’t seen transition so much since he takes over,then for now Harrier worth s him, but if he will transform Malawi team he is gona be using a good car
