Malawi coach says draw with Tanzania a boost for Chad tie
Malawi national team new coach Young Chimodzi has taken positives to the strength-testing match his charges had with Tanzania on Sunday at the Sokoine Memorial Stadium in Mbeya Province which ended in a goalless draw.
It was Chimodzi’s second game having lost 4-1 in his first match in charge in March.
Malawi is tuning up for the forthcoming preliminary round qualifiers for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations against Chad.

“We wanted to test the strength of our team to see if all players are fit to play against Chad or need some changes,” Chimodzi said.
Buoyed by the performance against Tanzania, the Malawian coach said his technical panel has concluded that all players are fit for the next game.
Chimodzi took charge of the Flames after the Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet who was hired by FAM for twomonth contract left the team last September following failure to lead the country to the World Cup
Malawi will face Chad at home on May 17 in a first leg preliminary round tie at Kamuzu Stadium.
