Times group has not participated in the above news article and therefore should not be dragged into it,you should have just advised the author(nyasatimes,that the wording has an element of racism.
It is disconcerting to be reporting a crime like this one and identifying, in no ambiguous terms, the race of the culprit. This kind of reporting simply connects a race with the crime; and that is not fair.
Disappointed with NyasaTimes, as it appeared to be more tolerant and forward thinking than some of the rags, like Times Group.

I don’t consider highlighting the appelants background as racist. Hopefully he will serve a jail sentence and if he is an expatriate be deported after doing so. It’s the least justice Malawis elephants can be accorded.
