The development occurred around 9 am between the boundary of Botanic Newlines Houses and Botanic Forest.

According to some eye witnesses, they heard the  girl’s screaming voice and was later found dead.

“After hearing the screaming voice we went there to witness what happened but unfortunately, we only found the body of the deceased,” said some eye witnesses.

Mzuzu police spokesperson Martin Bwanali while admitting of having a  knowledge on the matter failed to shed more light.

The eye witnesses says the girl was between 15 to 18 years.

“She  was drugged, tortured and repeatedly raped. It was horrific,” said the eye witness.

The victim’s identity has not been independently verified.

It seems that the eye-witness was more interested in witnessing than in helping the victim, or going for help.

Can I ask all the religious people! If God is everywhere , what was he doing when this girl was being brutally raped and killed? Was he watching ? Why did he allow this to happen?

I am ashamed of my country. Why would someone decide to rape and end a life just like that. This is very bad and sad. May the person who did this find no peace, may everything turn against him.

And this happened mmawa? SheeeeeH!!!!

OO Lord save Malawi from pending and swift Judgment

Why would you publish such a picture of a victim especially before her family has even identified her? What’s wrong with Malawians? You have raped and killed her all over again. I am ashamed to be a Malawian today. You have no decency at all. Shame on you.

Nyasa Times should have more respect for the dead: this poor girl’s body should not be photographed like this. She’s suffered enough already!
