Malawi govt plans to amend Pension Act
Malawi government has considered to amend the Pension Act when parliament meets for Budget session from 1st September.
Leader of the House Francis Kasaila said “One of the bills that will be tabled in the budget meeting is an amendment bill to the Pension Act”
He said “Cabinet has already given a go ahead to the tabling of the Bill.”
According to Kasaila the amendments to the bill aims at improving smooth implementation of the act and that it will provide room for reform to Public Service Pension Scheme.
“It also addresses the issue of facilitation, licensing and registration of Pension Funds,” Kasaila said.
