Malawi hires British football coach
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has engaged the services of British technical consultant Andy Dell, to advise the Flames coaches Young Chimodzi and Jack Chamangwana, to make sure that the national team qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Fam president, Walter Nyamil

andu , said the technical committee recommended the hiring of the consultant and the soccer governing body approved.
Dell is currently a coach at Reading Academy in United Kingdom.
He is expected in Malawi by Monday.
FAM said it will meet all expenses for Dell.
“Dell will be in the country for a month,” said Nyamilandu.
According to Nyamilandu, Dell has a Uefa A and B licence and set up Surestream Academy in Malawi.
“He also assisted former Malawi coach Kinnah Phiri,” said Nyamilandu.

What a waste of time. Most English coaches are not good. Why can’t you try to get coaches from France,Germany and Spain? What evidence has he got like winning track of records?
The problem with Malawi football is multiplication of duties. What does SULOM do that FAM fails to do? The funds that put on running the league is just too much such that if that money was left with FAM some other better things could have been done. Just immagine how much money does SULOM take from the gates and how about FAM all for what purpose and yet the league is funded so much for administration.
Without a good coach good player doeznt work perfect and on Another hand without a good player good coach does nt work perfect mukuti chani bwanji ndalamazo mupatse acinyamata kuti mwina ayambile bussines

Malawi needs new leadership and direction at FAM, PERIOD
you should re-visit your history books my friend. malawi was once one the best sides in africa. we could whip cameroon, zaire away, ti zipolopolo and tuma warriors ndiye mpunga. talk about moz, botswana. no contest…
so whats this nonsense about infrastructure you’re talking about? it’s all about hard work and dedication. go ask the netball team. nyo!
This is bad news this will change nothing at all why you people running affairs of football in this country don’t want to listen?? this mmwenye will just swindle all moneys in your coffers why wasting finances by paying his wife his children and his dog this is stupid why don’t you give a good sum to Chimodzi and his charges this pains me!!! we don’t need this boy here cancel his trip empower the boys you have already in stock.
Malawi football needs a foreign coach, lets not beat about the bush Malawian coaches have failed us we should not waste our time with them the only coach that we should try with the National team is Ernest Mtawali and I wish DELL must also work with Him. I Would rather say the Englishman must be given a contract if he proves the Salt after the stint, Kinna, Young and Chamwangwana must not be given any opportunity to work for the National team again, they have failed us and we are fed up with them lets try a foreign coach and Ernest to understudy him with Kaputa and Ngonamo.
Let us wait and see but I doubt, one month? Aaaah no, be realistic please!
Even if we hire José, this thing we call Flames will achieve nothing. Trust me! Anyamata ake omenya mpira! Chamba chili thoooo! Timatupi ting’onting’ono tili gwaaa! Nkumati pamenyedwa mpira! Forget!
Waste of resources, they should try nsolo or golf…
can you please hire him on a full time basis, the goats we have are useless.
zambia ‘team c’ yatiphophola 2-0 dzulo-dzuloli
The problem is not on coaching side. When are you stupid Malawians ever going to listen. Malawi does not have football infrastructure. BB, Wanderers, Tigers, Moyale, and many other social teams, dont have football infrastructure they can claim to own. How do you train the youth, how do you inspire the youth? There is nothing of that sort in this poor country called Malawi.
Ndiwakuti ndipo adzilandila ndalama zingati amalawi ndife ofowoka kwambiri
Bravo nyamilandu, tatopa ndi kukutukwanani
Andy Dell not a new name. Congratulations for putting in some force to the flames. Zake ndi zingati kodi.
Maybe it’s time Nyamilandu had to go. Failure is in his DNA and I think Malawi needs a more dynamic FAM president .
Good news to hear
