Malawi hires British football coach
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has engaged the services of British technical consultant Andy Dell, to advise the Flames coaches Young Chimodzi and Jack Chamangwana, to make sure that the national team qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Fam president, Walter Nyamil
andu , said the technical committee recommended the hiring of the consultant and the soccer governing body approved.
Dell is currently a coach at Reading Academy in United Kingdom.
He is expected in Malawi by Monday.
FAM said it will meet all expenses for Dell.
“Dell will be in the country for a month,” said Nyamilandu.
According to Nyamilandu, Dell has a Uefa A and B licence and set up Surestream Academy in Malawi.
“He also assisted former Malawi coach Kinnah Phiri,” said Nyamilandu.

What a waste of time. Most English coaches are not good. Why can’t you try to get coaches from France,Germany and Spain? What evidence has he got like winning track of records?
The problem with Malawi football is multiplication of duties. What does SULOM do that FAM fails to do? The funds that put on running the league is just too much such that if that money was left with FAM some other better things could have been done. Just immagine how much money does SULOM take from the gates and how about FAM all for what purpose and yet the league is funded so much for administration.
Without a good coach good player doeznt work perfect and on Another hand without a good player good coach does nt work perfect mukuti chani bwanji ndalamazo mupatse acinyamata kuti mwina ayambile bussines
