Malawi to host international boxing bonanza

Malawi will host one of the biggest boxing bonanzas this coming Sunday in Lilongwe, which will see boxers from Zambia and Malawi exchanging punches.

The main boxing  fight  of the bonanza involving Limbani Lano from Malawi and Anosi Temfune from Zambia, will be held at M1 Centre point along the M1 road.

The bonanza has been organized by Glasasi building and Civil Engineering Contractors.

Managing Director for Glasasi Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, Gladwell Yohane said all is set for Sunday at M1 Centre point.

“All the boxers are in good shape to face each other; Anosi Temfuna, a Zambian, is already in the country he came yesterday, “said Yohane.

“Our local boxers are also good boxers, we have been watching for a long time therefore we do request our fans to come in their large numbers as we are going to give them good fights,” added Yohane.

The eight round nontitle bout will be supported by a fight whereby Malani Kayuni will take on Jobson Adams.

On the same day other supporting bouts will include Abdul Chitepete who will take on Charles Mchombo, Philip Banda will fight Yusuf Allie and Esther Chipanda will fight Wezi Kamanga.
