Malawi Independence Day party at Club Nakira B’ham

As part of 53rd  Malawi Independence Celebrations, a celebration party has been  organised for Malawians in Birmingham at Club Nakira on Friday July 7.

The clubbing is being organised by Chiletso Shati and Eric Mwanza.

“We are set to deliver a mega-celebration of our nation’s proud history with a party at Club Nakira in Birmingham,” Shati told Nyasa Times.

Shati said they decided to organise the party “as many people miss that opportunity to actually rave with fellow Malawians and doing it to commemorate out 53rd  independence couldn’t get any better.”

“It’s a special night for Malawians to meet and rave together. It’s going to be a full Malawian night life night. DJs line up includes our very own Malawian Djs Forbes and PeeGee.

“The website for online tickets has also gone live and tickets can be purchased now at £5 which goes up to £10 on the night at the door.

“All you need to do is get your ticket(s) on: http://Www.malawi53birmingham.eventbrite.co.uk and
coordinate your outfits and come ready to have the best time of your life,” said Shati.

Really,is there any need for celebrating the so-called independence in this country? 53 years of independence,we are still relying on donor nations for every thing,is that being independent? For 53 years of independence,Malawi has never even once posted a SURPLUS BUDGET. Our independence to say the truth, has benefited mostly the bogus so-called politicians and morethan 80% of our populations, are stuck in limbo while, some of prodigal leaders accumulated unprecedented amount of stollen public funds. This trend has continued to this day.It is believed that President Peter Muthalika who has been in power less than 5yrs,is the richest man in the country so,where did he get this wealth in a short period in power? In Banda’s era, people were coerced to donate for the so-called messiah whatever they possesed like chicken, goats and on top of that, they were forced to buy Party cards and the funds were channeled to private accounts of the demi-god.Tragically,the people who fought for the independence of our country are facing hard and imaginable life while,a few leaders are awashed with garganctuan wealth while they watch behind the FENCE!!!!!!!
