Malawi maintain 87th FIFA Ranking position

Malawi national football team, the Flames has maintained  her  87th position in the world football ranking by FIFA r for the month of November.

In the latest ranking which was released by FIFA on Wednesday, the Flames are ranked 87 in the world and 21 in Africa.

In Southern Africa, the Flames are ranked fifth behind Angola, Zambia,Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Flames: Maintain position

However, Ivory Coast remains the highest ranked African team with a world ranking of 16 followed by Ghana which is ranked 29 in the world.

The biggest climber was Lebanon who gained 35 places to 111 in the world.Dominica were the biggest losers after they fell 4 places to 173.

Spain remains unchallenged in the world as they top the table followed by Netherlands, Germany, Uruguay,England and Brazil.

The rankings weigh all international matches over a rolling four-year cycle.

FIFA took account of 131 matches in the past month, including 72 World Cup qualifiers.
