Malawi Manchester Association elects new office bearers: Kachitsa retains chair post

Malawi Manchester Association(MMA) – a chapter of the Malawi Association UK (MAUK) –  has elected its new office bearers  with many officials who held positions in the interim two-year term, being elected.

The Annual general meeting of the association was held on Saturday 24th January at Ida Kinsey centre in Ardwick Manchester City.

The elections were presided by  solicitor Boniface Chimpango of Crown and Law solicitors, the legal advisor of the association.

Charles Layman Kachitsa , retained his post as chairman, and promised  to “put extra effort” in as the association serve Malawians in Manchester.

The new office bearers are as follows:

Chairman – Charles Leyman Kachitsa
Vice Chairman – Ms Tamanda Chisambo
Secretary General – Madalitso Mpoya
Vice Secretary General – Andrew Chimenya
Organising Secretary – Harris Kabvina
Vice Organising Secretary – Twinkle Nkosi
Treasurer General – Saidi Phiri
Vice Treasurer General – Malembe Makawa
Publicity Secretary – Pamela Nachamba
Head of Women’s Desk & Welfare – Evelyn Kalonga
Member – Eddie Gondwe
Member – Tinali Alfazema
Member – Eddie Banda

  3. Iam so tired by these stories about malawian associations in London, Nottingham ,Manchester ,Birmingham ,Austria and miss Malawi in Liverpool or Cape Town ! What’s wrong with Malawians abroad? Why, we don’t have these groupings in Rwanda ,Burundi or mozambique ? Is this the success story we can hear from you ? And will our poor nation benefit from you ? You can’t hear the news in south Africa about south Africans associations overseas.keep quite and bring the skills back home to develop our nation.
