Malawi Parliament to meet from Nov 10 — Speaker

President Peter  Muthatika will perfrom the state opening  of 47th session of  parliament on November 10 by delivering a State of the Nation Address (Sona), it has been disclosed.

Speaker Richard Msowoya: New session

Speaker of the National Assembly Richard Msowoya said a new session of parliament shall be held at Parliament Buildings in Lilongwe, and shall begin on the 10th November, 2017 to December 15 , 2017.

Leaders of all parties in the House will meet in the Business Committee to discuss on the business to be conducted.

Accoridng to rules, in a new session all business in the previous session falls off and will have to be reintroduced.

During the new session,  opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) will welcome its three new members who have been elected in last Tuesday’s by-elections

So these winners will occupy opposition seats? And all their voters will be expecting something from opposition benches? Driving in reverse gear.
