This was my sister in law’s Mother and sister along with a little Child.. so sad and how and how could the owner let such lorry on the Road… my sister is struggling so much what a tragedy and a great loss to the family.

These lorries should not be on the roads. There are so many of similar dilapidated lorries prying trade on Malawi roads mainly doing bricks and sand work. You wonder how their owners would let such road unworthy vehicles on the roads – their (owners’) only concern is to make money. As we can see in the picture, the lorry tyres are completely worn out, a sign of neglect by the owner. I guess the owner is someone from parliament. He has a high position at parliament. My question is we have Police traffic all over the show what and how do they allow such vehicles moving on the public roads and killing innocent people. This is shame

Why not introduce zoning for trucks, what was a 7 tonnes lorry doing on that narrow road? The Mayor and Lilongwe City Assembly should do something about the appalling traffic conditions around that area.
