Malawi police net Mozambique refugee for sex-assault

A 40 year old Mozambican refugee in Nsanje is in police custody for allegedly defiling his 10 year old biological daughter.

Nsanje police spokesperson Agnes Zalakomwa said the girl complained to camp leader at Dindi Primary school that her father had defiled her.

The camp leader, according to Zalakomwa immediately informed the police who took the girl to Nsanje District Hospital for defilement tests where it was proved the girl had indeed been defiled and the father was arrested.

Mozambican refugees are running away from Mozambican where they are accusing the government forces of killings, rape and defilement.

Zalakomwa said the man will soon appear in court.
