Thembachako said this is when the criminals started running away but one was caught and was beaten by the members of the public up until the suspected criminal died before the arrival of police at the scene of incident.

“We just want to take this opportunity to warn people against mob justice. People should not take the law into their hands by executing mob justice on suspects.

“If suspects are captured, they should always be handled over to police for proper course of action rather than killing them on the spot.

“Mob Justice is not the best solution to address crime issues in the country. This is against the law and everybody should adhere to this by reporting to police,” said Thembachako.

Meanwhile, the body of the suspected criminal lies in QECH mortuary waiting for identification and post-mortem.
