Malawi Police arrest third suspect in gruesome Bunda forest beheading murders

Malawi Police in Lilongwe say they have arrested a third suspect in the gruesome murder of three family members including a five year old child whose beheaded bodies were found in Bunda forest in Lilongwe.

Lilongwe police spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula identified the latest arrested suspect as Malekano Mphiningo.

“We have already charged him with murder annd is expected to appear in court this week or early next week,” said Dandaula.

The other two suspects, who included a relation of the murdered Chawinga family from Rumphi were already charged with murder and are on full remand at Maula Prison in Lilongwe.

Forty-three year old Chawinga, a head teacher, his wife and the five year daughter had come to Lilongwe to buy a vehicle. However, they last talked to family members when they were registering the vehicle at Road Traffice and Safety Directorate.

Their beheaded bodies were found in isolated Bunda Forest in the outskirts of the Capital City.

Tell us how they carried their operating and where did they dump/put the heads. Otherwise we need to hear more information for the people to be aware of tricks they are using
