Malawi Queens beat St Lucia 69-28: Commonwealth games Glasgow
Malawi Queens vented their anger of losing to New Zealand in the Commonwealth games by beating St Lucia on Saturday in Glasgow 69-28 in their third Pool A match.
The Malawian side opened their games with a win against Northern Ireland before succumbing to world champions New Zealand on Friday.
But on Saturday, Malawi Queens went to rampage by outclassing St Lucia.
New Zealand based Malawian goal shooter Mwai Kumwenda again led the world’s fifth-ranked team to a commanding victory. She netted 42 goals in three quarters.
Kumwenda again combined well with Sindi Simutowe and also had a good performance of Laurene Ngwira.
Malawi has two crucial matches on Monday and Tuesday when they face Jamaica and hosts Scotland.
