Malawi Queens games to be live on SuperSport
Malawians will have a chance to follow games of the national netball team – Malawi Queens – in the Netball Diamond Challenge in South Africa as games will be broadcast live on SuperSport.
The Netball Diamond Challenge will see South Africa, Malawi, Botswana and Zambia competing in a round robin tournament at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria from 15 to 18 August 2012.
The objective of the tournament is to celebrate the role of women in sport and in particular elevate the profile of netball in South Africa as we celebrate women’s month.
Malawi Queens coach Griffin Saenda assured the nation that they are “confident” they will do well in South Africa, saying “we have done thorough preparations.”
And Malawi’s Youth and Sports Minister Enoch Chihana who met the squad before it left for the tournament on behalf of President Joyce Banda wished the team “all the best.”
