Malawi Red Cross to construct over 300 houses for flood victims
Malawi Red Cross says it is in discussion with donors to construct 320 houses for flood victims.
President of the Malawi Red Cross Mac Ben Kanong’oza said this follows the successful construction of 170 houses for the flood victims as part of the relocation program for the victims.
“We are still discussing with our donors and we are very hopeful that the discussions will be successful,” said Kangong’oza.
He said the houses would be constructed in Nsanje, Chikhwawa, Phalombe and Mulanje which were hit hard by the floods.
The March floods affected 90, 000 people.
