Impakt Events, organizers of the famous Sand Music Festival have confirmed the availability oF Jamican born Reggae star Sheldon Campbell popularly known as Turbulence at this year’s Sand Music Festival to be held from 28th to 30th September at the Livingstonia Beach Hotel in Salima.
This means that Turbulence will headline the show alongside Tanzani’a Diamond Platinumz who already confirmed his coming through various
social media outlets and promised Malawians that they should expect fireworks.
Sand Music Festival Marketing and Medi Executive Jack Macbrams confirm with an online media that Turbulence has indeed been roped in.
Initially the organizers announced earlies that Sizzla Kalonji another Jamaican will headline the show and lead the reggae category but the
artist is currently on a tour in United States of America and his availability was not guaranteed.
Macbrams said the organizer had sleepless nights to have one big international reggae artist because most Malawians love reggae music.
“Yes, Jamaican Reggae star Turbulance has been added to the Sand Festival roaster. Thi is in recognition of the fact that Malawi is a
reggae loving country hence the decision to rope in Turbulance” Mcbrams is quoted saying.
The 2016 Sand Music Festival is a 6th edition and according to its founder and Director of Impakt Event Lucous Banda, it promises to be
one of the best festivals comparing to the previous one’s as they are improving each passing year.
Tickets for the festival are already on the market and can be accessed and Total Filling Stations in Lilongwe, Blantyre and Salima plus
Chikondi Stop Over in Balaka and are going at K25,000.00.
People can also purchase the tickets at a subsidised K20,000 fee using Telecom Networks Malawi’s TNM Mpamba and National Bank of Malawi’s
The two companies are the premier sponsors of the 2016 festival.
