The organisers, Impact Events have revealed the festival, in its sixth year running, will be held end of October to avoid clashing with other festivals.

Impact Events has been managing the festival with sponsorship from Sunbird Tourism Limited.

Festival Chief-Coordinator, Mazz disclosed on Thursday that this year’s event will incoporate comedy as new category to the  formatted style of back to back  performances by local and international artists.

”The event is set for another epic three days of music and outdoor play from October 30th to November 1st, 2015. And we are promising to give people value for money as they enjoy life at the beautiful beach of Livingstonia in Salima,” said Mazz.

He said the event will this year accommodate Small-Scale Entreprises who would like to use the festival as a platform to grow their businesses.

And Festival Coordinator NKhwachi Mhango said the list of international and local artists to perform at the festival will be
released soon.

”We dont want the event to be attached to any artists, this is why this year we are marketing it without attaching any international artist to it. Based on past challenges we experienced with international artists, we have decided to market the festival as an event,” said Mhango.

Sunbird Tourism Public Relations Manager, Akosa Mphepo promised to provide enough security during the event.

Mphepo said they are using the festival as one  way of promoting Malawian tourism and culture.
