Ng’ambi scored in the 8th minute but veteran Siphiwe Tshabalala equalised 8 minutes later but Eleazar Rodgers restored Platinum’s lead in the 45thminute and on course to hand Kaizer their first league loss.

But Chiefs fought to deny Ng’ambi’s team a chance to win the game by equalising in the 65th minute.

Ng’ambi’s goal has taken his tally to two goals this season five behind the current leading goal scorer.

Freese said: “What a game hey… I think this is what the people would like to see, good entertaining football, end-to-end stuff.”

With the result Stars climbed one spot to 12th in the Absa Premiership standings, while the Glamour Boys extended their lead over second-placed champions Mamelodi Sundowns to 14 points.
