Malawi still in it as Nigeria held in Namibia: World Cup qualifiers

Malawi on Wednesday evening saw their World Cup Africa qualification hopes being revived when the Super Eagles of Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw by Namibia’s Brave Warriors in a qualifying match at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.

Earlier in the day, Malawi was held to a 2-2 by visiting Kenya and had Nigeria won against Namibia, they could have sealed their qualification.

But the Group F will have to wait for the final match between Malawi and Nigeria in Lagos to determine the winner of the group. Malawi will need to win to sail through.

Malawi has seven points while Nigeria has nine points.
