The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) has launched a flag designing competitionof the university for creative minds to participate.
Deadline for the competition is February 27, 2015 and the winning flag shall remain the sole property of the Malawi University of Science and Technology.
The winner shall be decided by a panel of judges based on design simplicity and meaning.
MUST, established on December 17, 2012 by the Malawi University of Science and Technology Act No. 31 of 2012 as the fourth public university in Malawi, has set aside K150,000 for the winning designer with consolation prizes of K75,000 and K50,000 each to second and third winning entries respectively.
“As part of enhancing its brand, MUST is calling on creative minds to participate in a flag designing competition. The youth, students and females, are particularly encouraged to participate. The flag should depict the University’s corporate colours, vision, mission and aspirations. We are looking for a simple but meaningful flag, representative of our ideals,” states the press release.
The University is situated near Ndata Farm in Thyolo, some 23km from Limbe, Blantyre.

The university offers Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and Bachelors Degree in Mineral Processing Engineering.
