Malawian artists Tay Grin, Mafilika to perform in Glasgow
Malawian artists, Tay Grin and Mafilika are at the end of next month expected to perform in Glasgow, Scotland.
The rapper and the band will share the stage with the duo of Swedish Johan Karlberg and Malawian Esau Mwamwaya, better known as The Very Best.
They will be traveling to the European nation courtesy of Lake of Stars organizers, who will be hosting a Scotland-Malawi concert on 26 July as part of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
“We will be taking Mafilika, Tay Grin Official andThe Very Best to perform a 2 hour set with Scottish hip hop group Stanley Odd and Algerian-British rising star YADi,” announced the Lake of Stars team on their Facebook page on Monday.
“It’s all free so come down and party with us – this will be the biggest Malawian music show to ever take place in the UK…,” they added.
Lake of Stars is an international art festival that takes place on the shores of Lake Malawi and this year the carnival is slated for Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi district.
