Malawian chased Golden Boot award in Sweden
Malawian Sweden-based women’s professional football player Tabitha Chawinga is the top goal scorer for the country’s third tier women football division (Norra Svealand) with a commanding 21 goals lead from the nine games she has played for her team Krokom/Dvarsatts IF.
Chawinga, who signed for the Swedish side from DD Sunshine after completing a move in May 2014, has quickly established herself as star player.

The 18-year-old first ever Europe based professional, scored five goals in 9-0 hammering of Open last month before registering her name on the score-sheet in whipping Djursholm 8-1.
The robust Malawian international also claimed a hat-trick when defeating top of the division side Täby 5-3 on August 9 2014.
Nimbi-footed striker’s aggregate goals in other games to take her tally to 21 so far.
The player attributed her instant success to God.
“I thank God for giving me this talent and making it possible for me to keep on scoring for my team,” Chawinga said.
Sweden is one of the great women’s footbaling nations in the world and top league, which has 12 teams, is called Damallsvenskan.
