Malawian model Thembi named South Africa‘s Nissan, Toyota brands ambassador

Malawian model, Thembi Zimba, has been appointed brand ambassador for top motor brands Toyota and Nissan at next month’s Johannesburg International Motor Show in South Africa.

Speaking from Cape Town, where she is currently studying and modeling, Thembi told Nyasa Showbiz she was picked to represent the two brands after castings with her two agencies, the Promo Agency and Glamour Modeling Agency, a fortnight ago.

“I went for casting in Joburg and got both for the international motor show. It’s a huge development and am so happy,” said the model, adding “and it’s good money.”

The Joburg Motor Show is one of the biggest motor shows in the world and this year the exhibition is slated for 18-27 October.

Thembi, who is studying Public Relations in South Africa is the first Malawian model to be a promotional/brand ambassador for top brands at such international event.

“This is amazing,” she further expressed her bliss.

“I get attached to any brand I work with, and working with a global brand is a top of the world feeling for me. The more brands I work with the more times I look at a brand and say ‘I was a brand ambassador for that brand and it’s a part of me, always stays with me,'” said the Malawi Fashion Week 2013 model.

Previously, Thembi was also brand ambassador for HTC and has been featured in Exclamtion Perfume commercial before.
