The organisers said tickets are selling fast for the event, saying Chaka Chaka  well known as the Princess of Africa  will perform live with her full band from South Africa, featuring everything from her early career smash hits through to the current.

Mujungu said the London concert will be “a vibrant collection of iconic songs.”

He said Chaka Chaka’s music reflects “her creative force and her years of dedication to a life in music and humanitarian work.”

Mujungu whose Grajoh Talent Management  manages Uganda’s award winning comedian Anne Kansiime, said  she will also crack the limbs of patrons at the event.

Nigerian comedians Emmanuella, Uncle Denilson and Mark Angel, and British-Congolese comic Eddie Kadi complete the Afrikafest line up.

The concert expect Chaka Chaka to perform songs from her debut single;  I am in love with the DJ, I am Burning Up, Motherland, Be Proud To Be African, Thank You Mr. DJ and Umqombothi.

Chaka Chaka has said she taken note of her fans demand on social media asking her to sing their favourite classics.

Umqombothi has topped that list while Every Woman Needs A Man and Take My Love It’s Free have also featured quite a lot.

According to Chaka Chaka, she will also pay tribute to two departed fellow musicians  Brenda Fassie and Margaret Singana.

“When I perform I always put in songs of people I like, Brenda has always been loved. Margaret has always been a great star,” she said.

In fact, the internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter has an album dedicated to Singana, the late Afro-soul songstress who died in 2000.

Afrikafest is one of the biggest music festivals that are growing fast and may in near future become the biggest platform for artistes within the entertainment industry to unite on one stage to display their passion of music and laughter.

It is an all-inclusive and purely social-cultural festival designed to promote, support, showcase and celebrate Africa’s Talent.
