Malawian stars inspire Celtic to crucial victory

Malawian stars Gabadinho Mhango and Limbikani Mzava put up a good performance on Tuesday night to inspire Bloemfontein Celtic to a comeback 2-1 victory over Russel Mwafulirwa’s former team Ajax Cape Town.

Gaba, who did not score had an opportunity to put the ball into the net but he blasted over the bar in the 11th minute.

The deft former Bullets striker had a hand in his team’s second goal scored by Lerato Lamora in 76th minute.

Ajax scored early in the first and Flames defender Mzava made an attempt to equalise in the 21st minute.

Mzava also provided an assist to Davis Nkausu just before half time recess but he shot over the bar.

Gabadinho, who has won the hearts of Celtic fans played for the first 79minutes before he was rested for Lerao Manzini while Mzava played the full game.

The crucial victory has taken Celtic to fifth position with 43 points from 29 games and in the hunt for a top-eight finish.
