Malawian student found dead in South Africa

Malawian woman was on Sunday found dead in her flat in Port Elizabeth, South Africa .

South African police identified the woman as Challotte Walker who was  a student at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

According to her cousin, Ammren Randeree, the family could not be able to communicate with her for five days as she never responded to either text messages or telephone calls.

It was then that the family which is based in Malawi reported the matter to police and the cops found her dead.

The 3I-year-old student was staying alone in a flat in Cape Town as a student and was supposed to complete her Masters Degree in psychology in August this year.

The cousin said the family is at the moment waiting for the South African Police to release the body for repatriation to Malawi.

”We are waiting for the police and they may release the body in tha next two days or so,” said Ammren.

However, she said as of now the family has not been told the cause of the death yet,  but they were only told by the South African Police that she may have died either onThursday or Friday last week.

Meanwhile,  the Walkers and Renderee family members are gathered at the Walkers residence in Area 43 in Lilongwe.
