Malawi’s Nkanda shines as Muçulmana wins Mozambique title
Malawian striker Dziko Nkanda was in top form on Sunday 2nd November, 2014 as his Mozambican Club, Liga Muçulmana thrashed Ferroviário Pemba 5-0 to emerge champions of the Mozambican Premier League for 2014.
Nkanda netted a hat trick during Sunday’s match which also happened to be the last game of the season which has won the team the championship.
The player finished the season with 11 goals three behind the top scorer Maxaquenes Isaac Calvalho.
The Maputo based side won the championship after collecting 53 points from 26 games.
Muçulmana who first won the league title in 2010 managed to win15 games, drew eight times and lost only three times in the just ended season.
Nkanda has previously been called for national duty but he is yet to make an impact.
