Malawi’s Sipe misses Big Brother Africa grand prize: Idris wins $300,000
Malawian housemate in the Big Brother Africa season nine, tagged Hotshots, Sipe who reached the finals which ended on Sunday, December 7, was evicted after 63 days hours before Idris from Tanzania emerged winner of the $300,000 jackpot .
It’s the second time Tanzania is winning the Big Brother prize. Richard Bezuidenhout from Tanzania won the 2007 edition.
Housemated Butterphly and Mam’ Bea, JJ and Sipe, Nhlanhla and Macky 2, and that was the order in which they were evicted on the final day.
Some highlights of the show included a prank by Big Brother where past contestants of the show including Malawi’s Natash, also known as Mama Africa, were added to the competition. They stayed in the house for a week and brought a lot of chaos and entertainment.
There was also the “freeze” challenge. Towards the end of the competition, the housemates were visited by a loved one during this challenge. This brought some high emotion to the show.
