Masanjala turns focus to Civo winning TNM league title

After the heart-break of being knocked out of the Standard Bank Cup, Civo United mentor, ‘Sir’ Alex Masanjala, said his players are focused to win the TNM Super League title in order to keep their hopes alive of winning silver wears this season.

Civo were frustrated by Blue Eagles with 4-3 defeat on penalties, in a thrilling semi-final encounter at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe, on Saturday.

Masanjala: We will be aiming to win the league

Masanjala, who was graceful in defeat, said they will have some time to enjoy if they win the league.

“We are now left with the TNM Super League and we will try our best this season so that we can win it,” said Masanjala.

Civo is placed on 2nd position with 33 points, two points less than the current league leaders Blantyre United, having played two games fewer than them.
