Government has booted out Matthews Matemba from Malawi National Examinations Board who was there for 10 over years as executive director.
Capital Hill has refused to renew his contract and has since placed a vacancy.
Local papers carried a vacancy for executive director at Maneb on Wednesday.
Reads the vacancy: “Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian nationality to fill the vacant position of Executive Director at the Malawi National Examinations Board…”
During Matemba’s tenure of office, leakage of examinations were the order of the day. In 2007 Malawi School Certificate of Examinations Education were highly leaked forcing government to reprint the exams costing government millions of Kwacha.
