Speaking to Nyasa Times after visiting the Ward, Rev. Chimwemwe Kanjirawaya said the birth of Jesus Christ symbolizes God’s love to the world as such the church should be in the fore front to show love to the people.

“People who are sick lack a lot of things as they are in their hospital beds, once you pay them a visit they are relieved,” said Rev. Kanjirawaya.

The Reverend said his church believes in the spirit of sharing so they thought it wise to share with the people the little the church gathered.

“This is not the end of our journey because very soon we will go to prison to see our friends there,” said the Reverend.

Speaking on behalf of Maternity Ward, Grace Chistulo thanked the church for the timely donation and she appealed to well-wishers to emulate what Mitsidi synod had done.

“I know there are a lot of people out there who are very rich, people here need your love, support and care,” Chitsulo said.

Some of the donated items include Laundry soap, cooking oiland salt just to mention a few.

Reverend Kanjirawaya named one child who was born on that day Emmanuel which means ‘God is with Us’.
