MCP’s Chiphiko re-elected chair of Budget and Finance Committee of Malawi Parliament
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Parliamentarian Rhino Chiphiko has been re elected as Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee Chairperson.

Chiphiko, who is an economist by profession, said he was delighted to retain the position for third consecutive year “ by an unanimous vote.”
He pledged to continue working hard to ensure the committee is doing all oversight functions as per laws of Malawi.
Chiphiko commended his fellow parliamentarians for the confidence which they have in him.
“We have other eminent persons who could have done better than me but these fellow Members have still voted for me,” said Chiphiko.
Parliament has four constitutional committees in Parliament. These committee include; Legal Affairs, Defence and Security, Budget and Finance and Public Appointments Committee.
So far MCP chairs three Constitutional Committees.
MP Peter Chakhwantha chairs Legal affairs, MP Lingson Berekanyama chairs PAC, while Chiphiko chairs Budget and Finance and Member of Parliament for Rumphi Central Enock Chihana is chairing defence and security.
Chiphiko graduated at Chancellor College in 1987 with Bachelor of Social Science majoring in economics.
He then enrolled at Witwatersrand where he graduated with Masters in Business Administration majoring corporate Finance.
