Mia tells Chiradzulu: ‘Eject DPP let MCP’s Chakwera govern Malawi’

Opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) vice president  Sidik Mia has told people of Chiradzulu District to  ejected the  corrupt and visionless  ruling Democratic Progress Party (DPP) and vote in power MCP leader Lazarus Chakwera in the May 21 Tripartite Elections.

Mia: DPP has miserably failed and it time for MCP to deliver

Mia was speaking in Chiradzulu North Constituency on Saturday during a political rally where he introduced the party’s parliamentary candidate Susan Kachione.

“We need to elect and intelligent president who will be the servant of the people. We need a president who can deal with the problems Malawians are facing and that is Lazarus Chakwera,” said Mia.

Mia said the DPP administration has “miserably failed” to deliver on its socio-economic promises to Malawians contrary to President Peter Mutharika’s claims.

He said there is no need for Malawians to keep DPP in power as it has failed in the five years it has governed the country, saying it promised prosperity for all, but has only delivered prosperity to a select few; promised justice for all, but created a State where persons with albinism are not protected but intensifying security on Everton Chimulirenji the running mate to Mutharika.

The MCP deputy president promised to assist one woman with albinism who attended the rally, saying he will provide her with skin lotions and meet some of her basic needs.

Mia also said Robert Chasowa and Issa Njaunju murders remain unsolved.

“MCP promises security for all not a selected few,” he said.

He said MCP will ensure the country attains economic transformation.

Mia promised that MCP would fight corruption, improve living standards, transform the economy, provide good governance and ensure equity and equality.

Before the rally, Mia met with chiefs and religious leaders and asked them to rally behind the MCP in the forthcoming elections.

It’s amazing that some low level thinkers associate today’s rebranded and Democratic MCP with that of 26 years ago. You Will have a shock of your life when 59% of the electorate in Chiradzul vote MCP
