A loan 0f $9.15 billion, from developmental partners, will attract interest equivalent to the country’s expenditure budget of K1.3 trillion. We therefore request that the transport master plan should be linked to economic growth to pay off the loan comfortably with some change for other projects in education, health, ICT, agriculture and tourism. I trust though the transport plan is therefore linked appropriately to the development of other sectors in the economy.
